I purchased six, large, beautiful mirrors for my studio in 2009 from this company and was thrilled with the product and installation, however, in 2011, when I decided to move my studio to another location and contacted Ability Glass Service to request help in removing the mirrors from the walls, transporting them to the new location and re-installing them, I was horrified by the unprofessionalism and disregard I was greeted with... First of all, I was told that the cost was to be more than I originally purchased all six mirrors for in 2009. This was largely due to a product used during installation called 'Mirror Mastic', which as they claimed, is 'problematic' when removing. Secondly, in 2009, it was evident that the space that I was having the mirrors installed was a leased building, at that point, I was NOT given any options as to how I would of liked to have had the mirrors adhered. In my opinion, Ability Glass Service uses products such as 'Mirror Mastic' for two reasons, obviously it works and it keeps items safely secured to the wall but secondly, it is used deceptively in order to try and get more money out of people. It is distressing because in this day and age, we are in an obvious economical downturn and for those that truly work hard and who were proud of what they had (i.e. 6 beautiful mirrors), it is truly devastating to walk away from something that was such a significant investment with the understanding that now, I no longer have anything to show for it... I am usually not the review writing type but because Ability Glass Service treated me with such disdain and contempt, they left me no choice. Small businesses need to stick together and help one another; apparently Ability Glass Service feels they need no allies or no one else in their corner...
